I am currently a sophmore attending davis, and i love it! It has great programs and the teachers are awesome! the AP classes are hard but prepare you for the test, they offer many AP classes that are both fun and challenging. I don't play sports but i enjoy watching them, this school has every sport you can think of from tennis to golf and everthing inbetween! The administration is always there to help and are willing to help you with anything you need! The school is just all around amazing! Go darts!

My children have attended Davis High and have scored high on national tests as a result of the education they have received. The social environment is more diverse than some of the older comments on this forum claim. If the local population does not have a high minority percentage, I don't feel that should reflect badly on the school. My son's current hang-out group is full of minorities, and many students who are non-white are very popular and accepted. Back to real issues, though, Davis is very serious about its academic, athletic, and musical and other extracurricular programs. Student participation is very high in AP courses, and for those on the college track, the preparation for college is very good. Davis also has a large number of graduates who are accepted at Ivy League schools and other prestigious universities. Teachers are highly qualified, but there is still room for improvement.

I'm a current student at this school and I highly recommend it! I came in from outside school boundaries, a minority, and not of the dominant religion, and I find that many of the students here are open-minded and accepting. Although not at the top of the social totem pole, my education here is quite enjoyable. One just needs to find friends that share your same interests. Being the most popular isn't everything. Be social and happy and people will accept you for who you are.

I am a student at Davis High currently, and while I've had my fair share of troubles there, and have seen kids who have troubles, there is an opportunity for everyone, and if you look for it, you'll find a place that you'll fit in. Sure, the teachers expect you to do homework, but that's life. Just like in a job, you have things to do after you go home sometimes. DHS teachers and administration are also very helpful and try their best to help you succeed once you get out of the high school and into the 'real world.' I love this school and wouldn't go anywhere else for any reason.

I have two students attending Davis High. We moved here from Tennessee. The students are friendly and the curriculum choices diverse. One of my students (who has had a rough time in another school with peers) told me that the students here are kind and accepting. The counselor was very helpful in getting my transferring senior the courses he needed for graduation. This school offers a safe, friendly environment with many opportunities for growth.

I found Davis H.S. to be one of the best schools my children have ever attended. The school is always very clean and the students are very friendly.

I graduated from Davis High School. It is an amazing school. I loved my experience there. The academics are great and the teachers are highly qualified. Yes, there is some homework that the teachers do expect. They challenge there students to help prepare them for college. I took AP courses that were not easy for me, but they were well worth it. I never felt like my life consisted of only homework while taking difficult courses. Every student at every school must find that balance. There are many extracurricular activities available; I was involved in a few. Devoted parents and alumni continually help keep Davis tradition alive. Davis is known as a 'clicky' school. I was not high on the social totem pole, but I never felt unwelcome at this school. The trick is to find your interests and get involved. That's the easy way to make friends.

I will always be grateful for the teachers and staff at ' Dear old Davis High School' And I being a minority consider this school, one that includes others from different backgrounds and cultures! My child is from Arizona and due to that has experienced great discrimination. The children at this school are cruel and are not excepting of others. My daughter was even told that she could not join a club because she was a girl. The teachers are highly inept and feel that the children s lives must consist of nothing more than homework, children deserve to have fun before adulthood hits them. I would never nor have I ever recommended this school to anyone.

I think that this school is terrible. My children have been miserable while attending this school because they are from Europe and the students at Davis High School do not seem to have learned any kind of acceptance. The teaching quality is not great and it seems that the teachers believe that children should do all of their work outside of the school. Children have a life, just as adults do. This school is awful and I do not nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
